Man stabs parents to death in Thane, arrested

A 37-year-old man has been arrested for allegedly stabbing his parents to death in the Titwala area of Maharashtra’s Thane district on Wednesday.

A 37-year-old man allegedly stabbed his parents to death in their house in the Titwala area of Maharashtra’s Thane district on Wednesday. The accused, identified as Anmol Bhosle, has been arrested by the police acting on the complaint by his sister.

The matter came to light on Thursday evening when a foul smell started coming from the couple’s house in the Sai Darpan building located at Panchvati Chowk in Titwala Manda near Kalyan.

As per the information, Anmol, who works in a private company, called his sister after killing his parents. Upon receiving the information, his sister immediately reached home, only to find her parents lying dead in a pool of blood. She noticed Anmol sitting next to the dead bodies while the house smelled.

Suspicious, his sister informed the Titwala police station, following which a senior police officer reached the spot. Subsequently, the bodies were sent to Rukminibai Hospital for post-mortem and an investigation was taken up.

Probe revealed that the accused had stabbed the couple in the neck. The deceased has been identified as Ashok Bhosle (55), his wife Vijaya Bhosle (50).
