Director Sreejith Vijayan is coming up with his next Malayalam film, Idiyan Chandhu. Actor Vishnu Unnikrishnan will play the lead role in the movie. Idiyan Chandhu is touted to be an action-packed film, which will be choreographed by the renowned action director Peter Hein. Salim Kumar will also play a prominent role in the movie.
The makers completed the pooja ceremony yesterday, October 8 and will soon start the shooting of the movie. Idiyan Chandhu is produced by actor and producer Shafeeq, along with Sreejith Vijayan under the banner of Happy Productions.
The makers have also released the first-look poster of the movie, in which Vishnu Unnikrishnan is seen taped with a green board, while the actor screams in pain. Sreejith Vijayan gained fame through his directorial debut movie Kuttanadan Marpappa in 2018. It was commercially successful at the box office. The movie was a family entertainer and collected Rs 8 crore in less than a month at the Kerala box office. It was made on a budget of Rs 3 crore.
Vishnu Unnikrishnan is an actor and scriptwriter, who predominantly works in Malayalam films. He is known for his comic roles in movies. The actor gained fame through the movie Kattappanayile Rithwik Roshan, which was released in 2016. It became one of the biggest blockbuster hits of the Malayalam film industry in that year. It was directed by Nadirshah. Vishnu Unnikrishnanan wrote the screenplay for the movie, along with Bibin George. The movie earned Rs 24 crore in Kerala, while the worldwide box office collection of the film was Rs 54 crore.
Vishnu will be seen in the movie Idiyan Chandhu in a comic role as well, as predicted through the first-look poster of the film.
