Maharashtra Rains: Water pumps deployed at Palghar to release stranded water on roads | ABP News

Amid heavy rains, a massive amount of water has been discharged from the Hatnur Dam into the Tapi River in Jalgaon. A video posted by the news agency ANI shows mammoth water streams flowing directly into the river. Notably, due to continuous rainfall, water was released from the Hathni Kund barrage leading to a rise in the water level of Yamuna in Delhi. On Sunday, Mumbai received a fresh spell of rain leading to troubles for commuters. Around 110 people stranded in flood-hit Mahagaon tehsil of eastern Maharashtra’s Yavatmal were rescued after incessant rain battered the district. According to PTI, Mahagaon tehsil recorded 231 mm of rainfall from midnight till Saturday morning, while the district recorded 117.5 mm of showers.
