The Indian Meteorological Department had issued a red warning on Friday for Mumbai and its suburbs cautioning that very heavy to extremely heavy rainfall is likely at isolated places during the day. The red alert for the city came today from the IMD. 6 districts in the state of Maharashtra have been alerted of incoming heavy rainfall.
