On Chief Minister’s face, Piyush Goyal said that the decision will be taken at the right time.

Union Minister Piyush Goyal was speaking at the CNBC-TV18 Global Leadership Summit on Thursday.

Union Minister Piyush Goyal on Thursday claimed that the Mahayuti alliance of BJP, Shiv Sena (Eknath Shinde faction) and NCP (Ajit Pawar faction) would make clean sweep victories in Mumbai and Konkan regions in the upcoming legislative assembly election in Maharashtra.

When asked about his projections for the elections, the Union Minister said, “Once again, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be leading from the front.”

While speaking at CNBC-TV18 Global Leadership Summit (GLS), Goyal said that he had recently visited Marathawada region, which is considered a stronghold of Congress, but there is a wave of change.

On Chief Minister’s face, Goyal said that the decision will be taken at the right time. “The decision on the Chief Minister will be made amicably with our alliance partners after the election,” he said.

Speaking about the Mukhyamantri Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojna, launched by the Mahayuti government in Maharashtra on the eve of assembly poll, Goyal said it is a “gamechanger” in the state.

Earlier, he criticised Seeking votes along religious lines, saying that it goes against the Constitutional values. He had appealed to people to choose the BJP-led Mahayuti, which he said is committed to development and progress in the assembly elections.

He had slammed Congress for allegedly not keeping the pre-poll promises in the party-ruled states and Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Uddhav Thackeray for joining hands with the parties that “spread fear and misinformation”.

Taking a jibe at Congress and Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVAL) alliance, Goyal said that there are states like Himachal Pradesh and Karnataka that have rolled out schemes without any preparations. “Unlike some khatakhat schemes, we do real work,” Goyal said.

The BJP is running as part of the Mahayuti alliance, which includes chief minister Eknath Shinde’s Shiv Sena faction and Ajit Pawar’s NCP. Opposing them is the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) alliance, comprising Uddhav Thackeray’s Shiv Sena (UBT), Sharad Pawar’s NCP (SP), and the Congress party.

Elections to the 288-member legislative assembly will be held on November 20 and the votes will be counted on November 23.
