Madhya Pradesh: In Singrauli, People Built 2500 New Houses On The Highway For Compensation | ABP News

In Singrauli, Madhya Pradesh, a large-scale scam has emerged along the highway. Approximately 2,500 new houses have been built by individuals to claim compensation. The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) is constructing National Highway 135-C, connecting Singrauli to Prayagraj. With the survey complete, a compensation racket has become active in the area. Scammers are erecting makeshift structures near the highway to extort hefty compensation from the government. Due to financial constraints, farmers have devised a workaround. They are entering into agreements on stamp paper with individuals from other states, agreeing to share 80% and 20% of the compensation amount for the constructed houses.
