LUDHIANA: Two persons tested positive for Covid-19while there were no deaths due to the virus on Saturday. A day before, nine persons had tested positive.
Health department officials said that since no Covid-19 deaths of Ludhiana district were reported on Saturday, the total number of deaths of the district remained at 2,277 whereas 1,125 out of district/state deaths have been reported in Ludhiana Hospitals till now.
The health department said that till date 33,61,258 suspects have been tested for Covid in Ludhiana District. It added that whereas 2 persons from Ludhiana tested positive for Covid, no person from other areas tested positive for the disease on Saturday.
Local health department officials said that till Saturday total number of patients from Ludhiana district was 1,09,737 whereas the number of cases from outer districts/states increased to 14,727.
Civil Surgeon said that till now 1,07,427 Covid positive patients have recovered in Ludhiana District which constitutes 97.89% of the total cases.
