A woman from Chinhat police station area of Lucknow spoke to her lawyer friend. Said- My Muslim husband tortures me. He kills me whenever he wants. He married me by calling himself a Hindu. The lawyer friend called the ‘One Stop Center’ made for the help of women. The women police immediately took the victim under their protection and registered a case against the accused of love jihad.
The woman’s Muslim husband reached the One Stop Center in the evening on the second day of the rescue. Said – I want to take my wife home. I didn’t hurt her intentionally. I will rectify the mistakes made in anger. Will start new life. I will also change my religion. Dainik Bhaskar reached the One Stop Center and talked to both the husband and wife together in front of the police.
Let us tell you his whole story, in his own words. Let’s go to the allegations made by the woman first…
The victim woman was rescued and brought to this one stop center in Lucknow. He was given security.
“She had married me pretending to be a Hindu”
The woman sitting under police protection at the One Stop Center said, “I got married on 13 February 2021. Chand Mohammad had hidden his real identity from me at the time of marriage. His name was told as Shani Maurya. We had our first meeting in the vegetable market. Slowly the conversation started increasing. During the conversation, he told me many lies related to his family. Told the hired car as his own.
“He was already married, told me – he has an ex-girlfriend”
The victim woman further said, “Before marriage, I had asked him why you have not married yet? It said that I had a girlfriend. He cheated on me and married someone else. My heart was broken so again I did not bring any girl in my life. Now I want to marry you. The woman further said, “After marriage, I came to know that this person was already married. His first wife was also troubled by this. It has left him.”
“When I was pregnant, I kicked in the stomach, my child died in the womb”
The victim woman says, “I married with my mind, so my parents also left me in my condition. I was dead for them. Now I had no option to go back. This should be everything for me. Went. But later came to know that I had taken a wrong decision. He spent even the money I had collected so far. When the money ran out, he started quarreling with me. He used to beat me whenever he wanted. Bad relationship Used to make.”
“I have no one, I am helpless”
It has forcefully made me pregnant again just 2 months after the loss of the first child. Right now I am two months pregnant. Even in this condition he beats me. At 12-12 in the night the market sends me to collect my goods. On refusing, he just starts beating wherever he wants. I have no one, I am helpless.

The one who happened got angry but didn’t kill his child
The accused husband said, “Whatever happened between us till now happened out of anger. I used to say anything in anger but did not fight. I did not kill my wife even during her pregnancy. She is making all these allegations in anger. Yes, it is true that I had hidden some things from him. I wanted to marry him, but I never hid the fact that I was a Muslim.
“I will make a fresh start with my wife by becoming a Hindu”
Chand Mohammad further said, “I do not want to go to jail. I have come here to take my wife back. I haven’t done any big mistake. My wife loves me. I love them too. Whatever mistakes I made unknowingly, they will not happen now. Now I will change my religion and become Shani Maurya. Will start a new life with my wife.
Police sent woman with husband after written application
After hearing all these things of her husband, the woman said to the police, “I do not trust his words. Here they are saying like this, later their behavior will remain the same. When the police will assure me. I can go back with her only if she promises to provide security. I cannot go anywhere else, so it is my compulsion to go with them. But I want justice and trust from the police.

The lady police warned the husband not to do so further and took the application in writing. The police got the accused to write that now he will never fight with his wife or do any unethical act. If he does this again, he should be punished according to the law. One stop in-charge Archana Singh said, “We are sending her along with her husband as per the wish of the woman. The husband has given assurance of not committing the mistake again.”
