In Amritsar, Punjab, on Thursday, broad daylight robbers entered inside the Punjab National Bank (PNB) and carried out the robbery incident. 2 robbers who came on a white colored scooty looted 22 lakh rupees from the bank in a few minutes and ran away. The entire incident was captured in the CCTV installed inside the bank. After the incident, the police reached the spot and started investigating by taking possession of the CCTV footage.

The incident took place in Rani Ka Bagh, one of the posh areas of Amritsar. Here at 12:09 pm two robbers reached outside Punjab National Bank on scooty. According to the police, a robber remained standing outside. While the other masked man went inside the bank. He was wearing a yellow T-shirt and cap.

The robber who entered inside the bank had taken a pistol in his hand. He went straight outside the cashier’s window and threatened the employee sitting there with a pistol. After this, he asked the cashier to put all the cash while holding the white colored envelope. About 22 lakh rupees were kept at the cash window at that time. The cashier put all the money in an envelope, which the robber picked up and left the bank.
As long as the masked robber remained inside the bank, he fired his pistol into the air and threatened to shoot the bank employees and other people.

Pathankot’s number on the scooty After getting information about the incident, the police officers who reached the spot said that the scooty on which both the robbers had come was white. It had the number plate of Pathankot. Amritsar DCP Investigation Mukhwinder Singh said that the police of Amritsar and surrounding districts have been alerted about the scooty used in the incident. The DCP also claimed to have caught the robbers soon.
