Foreign Secretary Liz Truss has defeated Indian-origin former chancellor Rishi Sunak in the Conservative Party leadership race to become the new British Prime Minister. Liz Truss has become the third female Prime Minister in Britain, after Margaret Thatcher and Theresa May.
