Today is the second day of the monsoon session of Parliament. Several opposition parties, including the Congress, raised slogans near the statue of Mahatma Gandhi in the Parliament complex before the proceedings of the House began. Rahul Gandhi was also present in the demonstration. The opposition can create a ruckus over inflation, imposition of GST on dairy and food products and withdrawal of Agneepath scheme. Due to which there is a possibility of tremendous uproar in the house today.
Mansutra session has started a day earlier i.e. on 18th July. On the first day of the session, Lok Sabha paid tributes to former Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe. After this the assembly was adjourned till 2 pm for voting in the presidential election. Later, the proceedings of the Lok Sabha began, but due to the uproar of the opposition, the proceedings had to be adjourned till 11 am on Tuesday. 18 sittings, 32 bills can be presented
Parliament will have 18 sittings in this session, which will run till August 12. 32 bills can be introduced by the government in the session. Of these, 24 are new. 35 are pending. Eight bills are to be introduced for reconsideration. 14 Bills are ready. There are four bills which were referred to the Standing Committee for consideration. His report has also arrived. These bills also include the Maintenance and Welfare of Parents and Senior Citizens Bill.
