LG terminates 400 private employees: They were posted in Delhi government, said – they were all ineligible

Delhi Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena on Monday dismissed around 400 private employees posted in various departments. These employees were employed in various departments, corporations, boards and PSUs associated with the Delhi government. In a statement issued by the LG office, it has been said that rules and transparency were not followed in the deployment of these people, due to which they have been terminated.

According to the news agency ANI, it was said by the LG House Office that the necessary reservation policy for SC / ST and OBC candidates prescribed by the Department of Personnel and Training (DOPT) was also not followed in the appointment of these employees.

At the same time, many of these employees did not have the required educational qualification and work experience for the post. In the departments where they were given jobs, their documents were also not checked properly.

Agencies had recommended to terminate them.
According to sources, various departments and agencies had recommended the LG to terminate these employees. After which VK Saxena took this decision. However, there is no response from Chief Minister Kejriwal on this issue yet.

The appointment was made without the approval of the department
In the investigation done by the service department, it has been learned that 69 people were given appointment without approval in five ministries like Archeology Department, Environment, Delhi Archives, Ministry of Women and Child Development and Industry.

Similarly, necessary approval was not taken for the appointment of 155 employees posted in 13 boards belonging to the Delhi government. The department had not received the news of appointments of 187 people in Delhi Assembly Research Centre, Dialogue and Development Commission of Delhi and Department of Planning.
