The UP STF on Thursday conducted an encounter of gangster Anil Dujana, accused in 18 murder cases, in Meerut. Dujana was lodged in Delhi jail for 3 years and was absconding after being released on bail. The STF came to know about Dujana’s location on Thursday and also that he had taken a betel nut for the murder of a Delhi businessman. He was going to Muzaffarnagar for its planning.
When STF chased Dujana, he took Scorpio to the fields. Kept running the car in the field for 20 minutes. When the vehicle hit the pillar, Dujana got down from the vehicle and started firing at STF with pistol in both the hands. In the encounter, Dujana received bullet injuries in the chest and head and collapsed.
On seeing the STF, Dujana took Scorpio off the road into the field. During this, the car collided with the pole. After this Dujana started firing on STF.

More than 62 cases including 18 murders were registered against Dujana. He used to commit murder and robbery by forming a gang. On the condition of anonymity, a STF officer said that STF had input for the last 10 days that Dujana was roaming in western UP after being released on bail. There was also information that Anil Dujana had taken contract to kill someone in Muzaffarnagar. After coming out on bail, he can execute a big incident anytime. With the help of this input, STF was continuously in search of Dujana.

STF received information at 12 noon on Thursday that Dujana was going from Baghpat to Muzaffarnagar via Meerut. He has a Delhi number car. As soon as the information was received, 5 teams of Meerut STF were deployed in the siege of Dujana. Who were checking at different spots. Three teams of STF were deployed on Jani and Bhola Jhal. Two teams were put under surveillance on Baghpat Road. STF teams were spread across the area. Every vehicle with Delhi number was being checked.
Anil Dujana’s car traced at 2.45
This is the same Scorpio. From whom Dujana was running. He fired on STF in the guise of Scorpio. In retaliatory firing, the glasses of the car were broken due to STF firing.
At around 2.45 STF traced Dujana’s Scorpio at checking near Bhola Jhal. STF stopped Anil Dujana’s vehicle for checking, but he did not stop the vehicle. Instead, the car ran towards the fields. STF teams ran behind to catch him. Kept running in the fields for about 3 kms. Suddenly an electric pole came in front. The car collided with him. The road ahead was also closed. Dujana got out of the car to run away.

While getting out of the car, Anil Dujana opened fire on the STF team with a pistol in both hands. Ultimately STF had to retaliate. STF wanted to catch him alive. 15 to 20 rounds of bullets were fired from both sides in about 10 minutes. Due to the firing, the whole area echoed with the sound of gunfire. That’s why STF’s bullet hit his chest and head. Due to which Anil Dujana fell on the ground. It is also being told that he was shot in the waist. Although how many bullets have been fired, it will be clear only from the postmortem report.
Dujana had taken contract to kill the businessman
Police admitted Dujana to the hospital after he was shot in the encounter. Where the doctors declared him dead.
It is discussed that Dujana had taken betel nut to kill a businessman of Mandawali. He was going to Muzaffarnagar for planning to execute this incident. Had to meet my friends there. STF was tracing Anil Dujana after he came out on bail from jail. Anil Dujana was repeatedly threatening his wife Sangeeta, a witness in the Jaichand Pradhan murder case. Only last week there were two cases against him.
It is being told that Anil Dujana was released on bail from Delhi jail 10 days ago. Since then he was on the radar of STF. His activities were being monitored. The input was that Anil Dujana is preparing to form a new gang after coming out of jail. He has come out on bail and met all the people of West UP.
