Kharagpur : Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday distributed appointment letters to around 71,000 newly appointed recruits through video conferencing. The Prime Minister also addressed these appointments on the occasion of this job fair. The employment fair was described as a step towards fulfilling the Prime Minister’s commitment to give top priority to employment generation. It is expected that the job fair will act as a catalyst in further employment generation and provide meaningful opportunities to the youth for their empowerment and participation in national development.

Kharagpur Railway Division was entrusted with the responsibility of organizing the 4th Rozgar Mela for distribution of appointment letters to the newly appointed appointees for various departments and posts under the Government of India. About 220 newly recruited candidates of various departments received appointment letters at Supervisor Training Center today. Union Minister of State for Education, Government of India Dr. Subhash Sarkar was the chief guest of the employment fair program organized at Supervisor Training Center, Kharagpur. Medinipur’s MP Dilip Ghosh, Kharagpur’s DR M.M.S. Hashmi and IIT Kharagpur Director Prof. VK Tiwari was also present during the said programme.
Candidates present in Kharagpur in Online Employment Fair
Out of 220 fresh recruits, 198 candidates were given joining letter by Railways. In this job fair program, 11 candidates from Indian Postal Service, 09 candidates from Indian Institute of Technology and 01 candidates from AIIMS Kalyani and Punjab National Bank were given appointment letters by the guests. Train Manager, Station Master, Senior Commercial cum Ticket Clerk, Inspector, Sub Inspector, Constable, Stenographer, Junior Accountant, Postal Assistant, Income Tax Inspector, Tax Assistant, Senior Draftsman, JE/ Will work in various other positions like Supervisor, Assistant Professor, Teacher, Librarian, Nurse, Probationary Officer, PA, MTS, etc.
New recruits will also get an opportunity to train themselves through Karmayogi Prarambh, which is an online orientation course for all new recruits in various government departments.
