Karnataka: Mysuru admin cancels offline classes for students till class X | Mysuru News – Times of India

MYSURU: After Bengaluru Urban and Belagavi districts, now the Mysuru district administration has decided to cancel offline classes (physical classes) for all the students till class X in Mysuru taluk including Mysuru city starting from Wednesday.
An order in this regard was issued by DC Bagadi Gautham on Tuesday.
The schools will be shut till further order.
This order is applicable even to anganavadis and nursery schools.
However, in other taluks, physical classes are allowed.
According to the order, as a majority of the cases are being reported from the Mysuru city limits, this decision has been taken. Meanwhile on Tuesday Mysuru District recorded a whooping 562 new cases. But no deaths were reported.
Among the southern districts, Mandya (263), Shivamogga (136), Hassan (121), Chamarajanagar (86), Chikkamagalur (41), and Kodagu recorded 29 new cases.
Meanwhile, Mysuru district minister ST Somashekar has tested positive. Through a tweet on Tuesday evening, he requested his contacts to get tested and isolate themselves.
