Kaliyugi Dada burnt the family: Dada set fire to the house by pouring petrol for property, granddaughter burnt alive after clinging to father

An elderly man killed his son and three family members by setting his house on fire in Kerala’s Idukki over a property dispute. Police said that the incident happened this morning. According to PTI, the son, daughter-in-law and two granddaughters of the accused who were sleeping inside the house were burnt alive.

neighbors didn’t help
Hamid, 79, locked the house and then threw small bottles filled with petrol inside the house through the window. After that he set fire to the house. One of the family members woke up seeing the fire and shouted for help, but the neighbors did not help seeing the huge fire. Soon the fire spread throughout the house. Police said one of the neighbors saw Hamid throwing a bottle full of petrol at the house. The accused was arrested.

Emptyed the water tank, also removed the bucket and rope
It was a pre-planned murder as Hamid had stocked up on at least five bottles of petrol to commit the crime and had also emptied the water tank in the house to prevent any possible attempt to douse the fire. Hamid had also removed the bucket and rope to prevent the neighbors from bringing water from the well. This information was given by a senior police officer to the Press Trust of India.

Father-daughter love lasted till the end
Police said the scene inside the house was heart-wrenching as the bodies of the father and the youngest daughter hugged each other tightly. Both of them thought it better to embrace death together after losing the hope of survival. Police said that it was very difficult for us to separate the bodies for further investigation procedures. During interrogation, Hamid admitted that he had committed a felony with his son over a family property.
