Civil Aviation Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia has given a statement regarding the opening of the emergency exit of the Indian Airlines plane. He said that BJP MP Tejashwi Surya had accidentally opened this gate. He said that there is no need to think much in this matter. Just look at the facts. The gate was accidentally opened, after which the airline did a security check and the plane took off.

After Tejashwi Surya’s name came up in this case, opposition parties and people started raising questions on social media as to why the case is not being registered against Tejashwi. After this Jyotiraditya Scindia has given clarification.

The matter is of 10 December 2022
In fact, on 10 December 2022, India’s plane was going from Chennai to Tiruchirappalli, when Tejashwi Surya opened the emergency exit. Regarding this, the airline had told on Tuesday that during boarding in Chennai, a passenger had opened the emergency gate of flight 6E 7339.

The airline, without naming Tejashwi Surya, had said that the passenger had apologized for the mistake. The flight was able to take off after completing all the security checks, due to which the flight was able to reach Tiruchirappalli with a delay of two hours.

BJP MP wrote letter apologizing, crew member changed his seat
The DGCA has ordered an inquiry into the matter. According to Indigo sources, what Tejashwi did was a violation of the airline. The officers asked him to apologise. The BJP MP wrote a letter apologizing in the matter. After this, he was given permission to board the flight again. However, the crew member removed him near the emergency gate and gave him another seat.

Surya opened the gate when he was being briefed about the security protocol
A passenger present in the plane told the media on Tuesday that the flight from Chennai to Tiruchirappalli was about to take off. Meanwhile, the crew members were briefing the passengers about the safety protocols when Surya suddenly opened the emergency gate.

After this all the passengers were taken down. Everyone was told that air was leaking from the emergency gate, that’s why the flight was stopped. After the incident, the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) checked the security of the flight. Then the flight took off. During this whole process the flight was delayed by 2 hours.
