Jubin Nautiyal Opens Up On Calls For His Arrest On Social Media: ‘My Mother Is In Depression’

New Delhi: Singer Jubin Nautiyal has been under fire ever since a Facebook post was uploaded online announcing the singer’s upcoming US concert. Reportedly, his concert was supposed to be organised in the US by Jai Singh, who has ties to a banned Khalistani organisation and is a wanted criminal. Soon after this, #ArrestJubinNautiyal was trending on Twitter with netizens calling him an anti-national.

The actor spoke to India Today about the whole controversy. Jubin revealed that the said concert in Houston has been already cancelled due to different reasons. He said, “I don’t know any of those guys. We cancelled the show in August. The contract was between my management and a promoter named Herijinder Singh. I don’t know how it got to this point. My mother is in depression. I have nothing more to say. I’ve said it all. The news was picked up from a paid Twitter thread. No one bothered to ask me once. Anti-national? Me?”

Earlier, Jubin took to Twitter to dispel the rumour and wrote, “Hello friends and twitter family, I’ve been travelling and will be shooting for the next whole month. Don’t get upset on rumours. I love my country 🇮🇳🙏🏻. I love you all 🌹”

It is reported that Jai Singh has not been seen in public for the last three decades and is considered a wanted criminal at the Chandigarh Police Station on allegations of narcotics smuggling and movie piracy.

In addition, according to an article published in 2019 by The Quint, Jai Singh “was a part of the banned Khalistan group in Punjab, started providing logistical support to Khalistanis hailing from the Fermont gurdwara.”

On the professional front, Jubin has just lately released his song titled ‘Meethi Meethi,’ which was done in collaboration with the T-Series.
