Jharkhand: Two children brutally murdered in Pakur district, both eyes were also removed, accused uncle absconding

A relative’s uncle allegedly killed his eight-year-old nephew and 10-year-old niece on Thursday night in Jharkhand’s Pakur district. Not only this, the eyes of both of them were also taken out. The reason for this is said to be old enmity and land dispute. Superintendent of Police Hrideep P Janardan said that prima facie investigation has revealed that the incident that took place in Ambadiha Manjhi Tola of Amdapara police station area was carried out by the children’s uncle Nehru Marandi alias Turka, who is absconding since the incident.

He said that the accused would be arrested soon. The superintendent of police said that the father of the children, Prem Marandi, had expressed suspicion on his neighbor and relatives in the murder of both the children. In view of this, Amdapara police station in-charge Manoj Kumar took the accused Turka’s father Pradhan Marandi, mother Puti Hansda and brother Gumasta Marandi into custody and questioned them strictly, then all the things came out in the open.

According to the official, they told the police that due to a land dispute with Prem’s family, Turka called both the children – Marshila Marandi (10) and Baburam Marandi (8) on Thursday evening and took them to a barn away from home. carry through. The father of the children, Prem Marandi, said that both their children were missing since last evening, after they did not reach home till late evening, a lot of search was done in the village but they could not be found. He said that today the bodies of both were found lying in a barn outside the village. Police said that looking at the body of the girl, it appears that she was also raped before the murder.
