In Jharkhand, AIMIM President Mohammad Shakir informed that Owaisi will reach Ranchi airport by 12 noon. We have been given time for the program from 2 pm to 4.30 pm.

He said that various issues related to development of Jharkhand would be discussed in the meeting between Owaisi and AIMIM’s Jharkhand unit. The by-election in the tribal constituency Mandar is to be held on June 23. Counting of votes will take place on June 26.

BJP has nominated former MLA Gangotri Kujur from this seat. Union Minister of State for Education Annapurna Devi on Saturday visited several villages in the constituency as part of her election campaign.

28 members of NDA
In the 81-member Jharkhand House, the ruling UPA has 48 MLAs, JMM 30, Congress 17 and RJD one. The opposition has 28 members from NDA, 26 from BJP and two from AJSU. There are two independents and the NCP and CPI (ML) have one MLA each. Mandar is the only vacant seat on which elections are to be held.
