Jharkhand: Naxalite wanted in more than 50 cases arrested, big success of Police-CRPF

In Jharkhand, Giridih district police and the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) arrested Naxalite Krishna Hansda, wanted in more than 50 cases, in a raid. Giridih Superintendent of Police Amit Renu said on Tuesday that on January 16, paramilitary forces and the police of Dumri, Nimiaghat, Pirtand and Madhuvan police stations of Giridih district raided and arrested prize Naxalite Krishna in the Lutio forest on the basis of secret information. He had come to collect the amount of levy in the area.

The officer said that a levy amount of Rs 2 lakh and a pistol have been recovered from Krishna. This Naxalite has 52 cases of murder and blast registered in Giridih, Dhanbad and Bokaro districts. After his arrest, raids have been conducted at half a dozen places on the basis of information received from him. During this, a large number of Naxalite literature and other items have been seized.
