Jharkhand: Minors comment on social media against a particular religion, police detained

Two minors have been detained from Dhanbad in Jharkhand for posting objectionable posts on social media. Tension prevailed in Kumardhubi after the minors posted on social media, police officials said. After this, both were taken into custody and interrogated.

Police said the duo had made alleged remarks against a community on social media on Tuesday. The post went viral, after which the sentiments of people from other communities were hurt. Lalan Prasad, in-charge of Kumardhubi police station said, “The police have started their investigation in this case. Mobile phones of both the minors have been confiscated.

As soon as the information was received, the police immediately reached the spot and took the accused into custody. After this the mob reached the police station and started demanding action against the accused. Police officials said the protesters were pacified by assuring action. A person named Javed Akhtar has lodged a written complaint against both the accused in the police station.
