Jharkhand: Live-in partner’s blood-soaked body found at home, constable taken into custody, police engaged in investigation

A police constable in Hazaribagh district has been taken into custody after his live-in partner’s body was found in his government quarters. The girl used to work as a sales woman in a nearby petrol pump. A senior police officer gave this information.

Superintendent of Police (SP) Manoj Ratan Chothe said that the incident came to light when the constable returned to his residence in Hazaribagh Police Line on Tuesday night and raised an alarm after seeing the girl’s throat slit. When the girl was taken to Hazaribagh Medical College and Hospital, she was declared brought dead.

The SP said, it appears to be a case of murder. The involvement of the detained police constable cannot be ruled out. The FIR is yet to be registered as the officials are waiting for the relatives of the deceased to arrive.

According to reports, Rinki, the girl friend of constable Parshuram Kumar, was living in a live-in. His blood-soaked body has been recovered from the quarter. The incident is being told between eight to nine o’clock on Tuesday night.

Rinki used to work at Lakshmi Petrol Pump, just 300 meters away from the police line. Constable Parshuram Kumar is posted in Hazaribagh. Parshuram’s wife had passed away a few months back under suspicious circumstances. Since then he was living in a live-in relationship with Rinki Kumari, a petrol pump employee.

After the incident, Parshuram told that he had gone to the line for counting. When he reached the room after returning from the line, Rinki’s dead body was lying in a blood-soaked state. After this, with the help of the people around, he was taken to the hospital, but by then he had died. Doctors declared him dead. Parshuram’s wife had died in suspicious condition in the month of February. Both of their four daughters live in their grandmother’s house.
