The ink has not yet dried on the news of the brutal murder of Shraddha, who was living in live-in in Delhi, that a similar incident has come to the fore from Simdega district of Jharkhand. On Monday, a young man killed his fiancée by stabbing her 25 times in the chest. Five months ago, both of them had decided to get married, but all the dreams were shattered in a moment.
The heinous incident of murder of the girl took place in Saruda village of Simdega district. Accused Arvind Kujur killed fiancee Genevibha Tirkey, a resident of Kurdeg on Monday evening in this village coming under Basia police station area. The incident spread sensation in the village and surrounding areas. The reason for the murder is not yet known.
The deceased was working as GNM in Genevibha Sadar Hospital, Simdega. She was living in Saruda’s relative Teejan Ekka’s house for the last one and a half months. According to the police, she got engaged to Arvind Kujur five months back. He often used to come to Saruda to meet Genevieve. On Monday too, he had reached Ekka’s house to meet Genevibha at around 4 pm.
As soon as he entered the house, he was adopted with a knife.
Arvind attacked Genevieve with a knife as soon as he reached Ekka’s house. Arvind stabbed him 25 times one after the other in his chest and fled from there. Hearing Genevieve’s screams, Teigen rushed to Ekka and tried to rescue her, during which Teigen also sustained injuries on her hand. Genevibha was taken to the hospital in Basia in critical condition, but the doctors there declared her brought dead. Basia police reached the hospital and sent the body to Sadar Hospital Gumla for postmortem.
Started beating only a few days after the engagement
According to family sources of Genevibha, earlier also accused Arvind used to dispute and beat her with her fiance. Genevieve’s parents died in his childhood. He was brought up by the elder father. The family is shocked by his brutal murder.

This case is similar to the heinous murder of Shraddha in Delhi because within a few months, two youths had an agreement, an argument and a murder. Shraddha’s heinous murder has shocked everyone. However, the police is probing why Genevieve was killed. The reason for the murder will be known only after the investigation.
