Jharkhand’s Anti-Terrorist Squad (ATS) on Saturday raided 81 locations linked to gangster Aman Sau and his close associates in the state. During this, the ATS collected details of properties, documents related to bank accounts and other information. An ATS official gave this information.

The ATS official said that the 81 locations where the raids were conducted are located in eight districts of the state. During the raid, the ATS team collected movable and immovable properties, land papers, documents related to bank accounts and other information about Sau’s gang, the official said.

ATS Superintendent of Police Surendra Kumar Jha told PTI that “We had received information that Aman Sao gang is spreading panic among traders and common people in different districts. We also came to know about the gang’s links with various extremist groups. The gang is basically involved in extortion.”

He said that raids were conducted in eight districts of the state namely Ranchi, Ramgarh, Hazaribagh, Chatra, Palamu, Latehar, Dhanbad and Jamshedpur and important information was collected. Please tell that Aman Sao is currently lodged in Palamu Jail. He was arrested in July 2020 by the ATS Superintendent of Police, who was then the Superintendent of Police of Ranchi.
