Jharkhand: Deoghar police arrested 11 cyber thugs, second major action in a week

Like Jamtara of Jharkhand, notorious for cyber crimes in the country and the world, Deoghar has now become a new hideout for cyber thugs. While tightening the noose on these criminals, the Deoghar Police has arrested 11 people taking a big action. Police have also recovered a car along with many mobile-laptop etc. items from them.

Police had received information about cyber criminals being active in the area, on the basis of which the cyber police conducted raids in Kurumtand, Jhagrahi and Baghdaha villages of Sarath police station area and Kapsa village under Devipur police station area. 11 people were arrested here. This is the second major action of the police against cyber thugs in a week.

The arrested people have been identified as Doorju Rana, Sanjay Lal, Chhotu Rana, Dinanath Mandal, Rahul Kumar Mandal, Raj Kumar Mandal, Govind Mandal, Jitendra Mirdha, Chhotu Mirdha, Pawan Mirdha and Shailesh Das. These people used to call bank officials sometimes on behalf of some company and cheat people by getting bank information from them.

19 lakh car, including 22 mobiles recovered
Police have recovered 22 mobile phones, one laptop, 35 SIM cards, seven ATM cards, Rs 32,000 cash, four passbooks, four check books and State Bank of India (SBI) papers from these criminals. Apart from this, the police have also recovered a Hyundai Verna car from them, the value of which is being said to be Rs 9 lakh.

Five criminals were also arrested on December 12
Earlier on December 12 also, Deoghar police had taken similar action against cyber criminals and arrested five criminals. Police say that such cyber criminals who make people their victims by cheating people online will not be spared at any cost and our continuous action will be taken against them.
