Flights have started at the recently opened Deoghar Airport to connect Jyotirlinga Baidyanath in Jharkhand by air. Today, Deoghar will also be connected to the capital Delhi by air. BJP MP Captain Rajiv Pratap Rudy will take Indigo flight number 6E 6191 from Delhi to Deoghar today. This will be the first Delhi-Deoghar flight.
This Indigo flight will depart on Saturday at 1 pm and will land at Deoghar airport at 2.45 pm. Captain Ashutosh Shekhar will also operate the aircraft along with Rudy in this aircraft. This will be the first commercial flight from Delhi to Deoghar.
Every year lakhs of tourists visit Deoghar to visit Baba Baijnath. Lakhs of Shiva devotees reach here in the month of Sawan. Apart from Jharkhand, the Deoghar airport will also facilitate the neighboring districts of Bihar. In future, Deoghar Airport will be one of the important airports of Eastern India.
According to BJP MP Rudy, A321 Neo planes for international flights to Central Europe are also likely to land at Deoghar airport in future. He is happy that he got a chance to bring a flight from Delhi to Deoghar for Baba Baidyanath.
PM Modi inaugurated the airport
Deoghar airport was inaugurated by PM Narendra Modi on 12th of this month. The foundation stone of the airport was laid on 5 May 2018. It was completed in four years. Its cost came to Rs 400 crore.
