Jharkhand: CRPF jawans did not get gallantry medals, Jharkhand Police’s negligence became the reason

After this, the CRPF Headquarters had recommended to the Union Home Ministry for the President’s Gallantry Medal for all these jawans. According to a media report, this matter reached the Jharkhand Police Headquarters on the recommendation of the CRPF Headquarters, but due to the negligence of the officials here, no decision could be taken on this recommendation. After this, the Union Home Ministry has once again sent a reminder to the state government and asked to provide the destination.

The personnel for whom the President’s Gallantry Medal has been recommended by CRPF Headquarters include CRPF Assistant Commandant Rajkamal Vardhan, Havildar Sunil Murmu, Sepoy Anand Rajwar, Guduri Vinod and Shankaranand Kaparatti, who were involved in the encounter at Bagdu, Lohardaga on 18 July 2019. Apart from this, in addition to the CRPF jawan Vishwajit Chauhan, who was martyred in the encounter on 15 April 2019 in Bhelwaghati, Giridih, the CRPF Headquarters also for the assistant commandants Ajay Kumar, Sunil Kumar, constable Rajesh Kumar Yadav, ASI Shriram Kushwaha, Pankaj Sorari and Dhanjit Talukdar involved in the encounter. Seeing the matter gaining momentum, the Police Headquarters has informed that soon preparations are being made to complete all the pending process related to it and send it from the center through the state government.
