Jharkhand: CID raids the house of Congress MLAs accused of cash scam, important documents seized

The Bengal CID team raided the house of the three Congress MLAs caught in the Jharkhand cash scandal. On Monday, the CID team reached the residence of MLAs Irfan Ansari, Rajesh Kachhap and Naman Vixal. It is being told that the CID team has got important documents from the residence of the three. Actually, three Jharkhand Congress MLAs were caught in Howrah with 49 lakh cash. After this the party suspended the three MLAs. At the same time, the Congress had also accused the BJP of horse-trading. According to sources, there is information about getting weapons from the house of MLA Rajesh Kachhap. At present, the CID team is verifying the seized documents.

Jharkhand Congress MLAs were apprehended near Ranihat More in Howrah on July 30. The Bengal Police had also recovered Rs 49 lakh in cash along with them. After this all three were taken into custody and later arrested.

Summons sent to Assam businessman
West Bengal CID has summoned a businessman from Assam in this case. It has been told that the name of the businessman is Ashok Kumar Dhanuka. Police has summoned him in connection with the investigation. Dhanuka is said to be close to Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma. The Criminal Investigation Department (CID) of West Bengal reached Guwahati and put up a notice outside Dhanuka’s house asking him to appear on Monday. However, the businessman’s mobile phone was found switched off, due to which there was no response from his side.
