The Hemant Soren government of Jharkhand has opened the box of gifts for the public. The old pension scheme was approved in the state cabinet meeting. Now after Rajasthan and Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand is also the state where the old pension scheme has been restored. Apart from this, the state government also fulfilled the promise of providing 100 units of free electricity. The government had announced this in the budget for 2022-23.

An official said, the old pension scheme will be restored with certain conditions. To implement this, a three-member committee will be constituted under the chairmanship of the Development Commissioner. On the other hand, Cabinet Secretary Vandana Dadel said that 100 units of electricity will be free. Different slabs will be applicable on top of this.

MNREGA wages increased, pulses for one rupee
A total of 55 proposals have been approved in the cabinet. In this, every family covered under the Food Security Scheme will be provided one kg of pulses at Re 1 per month. Apart from this, MNREGA wages have also been increased by Rs 27. Now the laborer will get a minimum of Rs 237. Apart from this, private sector companies will have to provide 75 per cent reservation for local people.
