New Delhi: The trailer of Netflix’s ‘Murder Mystery 2’, starring Jennifer Aniston and Adam Sandler, is out. What caught everyone’s attention in the trailer is Jennifer’s desi avatar. In the trailer, the actress is seen wearing a cream-colored lehenga with matching jewellery. The lehenga is designed by celebrity fashion designer Manish Malhotra.
The trailer was unveiled by Netflix on Monday with the caption, “An Indian wedding, a kidnapped Maharaja, and a murder mystery. Watch Jennifer Aniston and Adam Sandler solve this mystery in #MurderMystery2, streaming on 31st March!”
Karan Johar gave a shout-out to the designer and commented on the post, “Go Manish!!!!! It’s your lehenga !!!!”
Instagram user Diet Sabya also confirmed the same. A person asked, “DS ji Adam Sandler and Jennifer Aniston in Indian attire for murder mystery 2… Any idea who Jennifer is wearing?” Diet Sabya shared the question on his Instagram Stories and replied, “@jenniferaniston in a @manishmalhotra05 lehenga.”
Netizens were quick to comment and were impressed with Jennifer’s desi avatar, one user wrote, “Never thought I’d see Jennifer in a lehenga omg she slayed.” Another user wrote, “Jennifer Aniston in a Lehenga … my god I feel so happy.”
A Twitter user tweeted, “Jennifer Aniston x Manish Malhotra was not the combo I was expecting to see today,” tweeted another.”
Jennifer’s heavily-embroidered lehenga also has sequins and pearls embellishments. She completed the look with chandbali earrings.
In the trailer, Nick and Audrey Spitz (Adam Sandler, Jennifer Aniston) are back to solve yet another murder mystery. They have now become full-time detectives. They are invited to celebrate the wedding of their friend the Maharaja (Adeel Akhtar) on his private island.
Directed by Jeremy Garelick, the film is scheduled to be released on March 31 on Netflix. It is a sequel to the 2019 film Murder Mystery starring the two actors.
