JEECUP 2024: Exam Pattern

Now, let’s understand the exam pattern. The JEECUP 2024 follows a structured format that evaluates the candidates’ aptitude and knowledge in various subjects.

Question Type: The exam will comprise multiple-choice questions (MCQs). Each question will have four options, out of which the candidate will have to select only one correct answer.

Subjects Covered: It is to be noted that the subjects vary depending on the group of the polytechnic course. The exam will primarily cover physics, chemistry, and mathematics for engineering and technology courses, while the subjects will align with the specific requirements of the field for other courses.

Total Questions: The JEECUP exam will consist of a total of 100 questions. These questions are distributed among the various subjects relevant to the applicant’s chosen course.

JEECUP 2024: Marking Scheme

Talking about the marking scheme, JEECUP 2024 is designed to reward accuracy and discourage guesswork. Candidates will be awarded 4 marks for each correct answer, while 1 mark will be deducted as a penalty for every incorrect answer. However, no marks will be awarded or deducted for questions that are left unanswered. This negative marking method highlights the significance of accuracy and encourages students to answer questions they are confident about.

Candidates should keep in mind that thorough preparation with previous years’ question papers, as well as completing mock tests, can help them get familiar with the exam pattern and manage their time effectively during the actual exam.

Meanwhile, the application process for JEECUP 2024 commenced on January 8, 2024, and concluded on May 10. Students were given a four-month window to complete their applications and prepare for the examination.
