Jathedar Giani Raghbir took charge: the ceremony of wearing turban on Shri Akal Takht Sahib completed, organizations from all over the country reached

Accomplished intellectual giving turban to Giani Raghbir Singh and next to Giani Harpreet Singh.

The new Jathedar of Shri Akal Takht Sahib, Giani Raghbir Singh took over his charge today. After the recitation, Giani Raghbir Singh reached Shri Akal Takht Sahib. Here the ceremony of wearing him a turban was performed. A large number of devotees, intellectuals and office bearers of Sikh organizations have reached Shri Akal Takht Sahib.

Significantly, after 4 years 244 days, a permanent Jathedar has taken over. Till now only Giani Harpreet Singh was holding the charge of this post with additional charge. After the recitation, Giani Amar Singh was called to Sri Akal Takht Sahib and he declared Giani Raghbir Singh as the Jathedar of Sri Akal Takht Sahib.

Giani Harpreet Singh was also present in this program organized by SGPC. He participated in the event as the Jathedar of Sri Damdama Sahib. SGPC Principal Advocate Harjinder Singh Dhami took the stage and started the ceremony of handing over the turban to Giani Raghbir Singh.

Giani Amarjit Singh presented the first Dastar after Pradhan Dhami’s request. After this, Daljit Singh Cheema from Akali Dal presented Giani Raghbir Singh and then Giani Harpreet Singh from Takht Sri Damdama Sahib presented Dastar.
