The Residential Coaching Academy (RCA), Centre for Coaching and Career Planning, Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI), will soon announce the applications for free coaching for the preparation of the UPSC Civil Services examination 2025. Candidates belonging to minorities, Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, and women candidates can apply for this program. The application window will open on March 18, and the last date to submit the application form is May 19. The forms can be submitted via the online method only. Interested candidates can register at jmicoe. in. Interested candidates will be required to clear the entrance examination for the UPSC CSE (Union Public Service Commission Civil Service Examination). This examination will be conducted at the ten centres – Delhi, Srinagar, Jammu, Hyderabad, Guwahati, Mumbai, Patna, Lucknow, Bengaluru, and Malappuram.
Dates
The selection of the applicants includes an entrance test and interview. The written test will be held on June 1.
Exam Pattern
The entrance exam of UPSC CSE will be divided into two parts- papers 1 and 2. Paper 1 is general studies and the second paper will be based on essay writing. Paper 1 will consist of objective-type questions only and will carry 100 marks. On the other hand, the paper 2 carries 60 marks. Based on the merit obtained in paper 1 (MCQ test marks), the essays of only the top 900 students will be evaluated. The marks weightage of the interview is a total of 40 marks and it will be held online. The written exam will be conducted in English, Hindi, and Urdu, and Essay writing will also have the option of writing in these three languages.
Other Rules
This year, as many as 100 seats are available for the free coaching facility in the Residential Coaching Academy. Hostel accommodation is a compulsory condition and will be made available to all the enrolled students. In the case of fewer hostel seats, they may be prioritised exclusively based on the merit obtained in the entrance test.
Time for JMI RCI Application Editing
Candidates will be permitted to edit their JMI RCA application form between May 21 to May 22, 2024.
