PM Modi arrived in his constituency Varanasi earlier today on a two-day visit during which he is set to launch and inaugurate 37 projects worth more than Rs 19,000 crore for the city and Purvanchal
Prime Minister Narendra Modi, during his visit to Varanasi, was left impressed by a little girl reciting a poem in his praise. The girl concluded her poem saying “Jai Modi Jai Hindustan,” to which, PM Modi said, “Waah”.
PM Modi arrived in his constituency Varanasi earlier today on a two-day visit during which he is set to launch and inaugurate 37 projects worth more than Rs 19,000 crore for the city and Purvanchal. He will also launch Kashi Tamil Sangamam 2.0 from Namo Ghat and flag off the new train from Kanyakumari to Varanasi.
Upon arrival, the prime minister held a road show in Kashi and visited the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra Exhibition at Cutting Memorial Inter College where he interacted with a little girl who explained to him the phenomenon of photosynthesis while reciting a poem.
Impressed by the little girl’s talent, PM Modi indulged in a light chat with the kid and asked her which vegetable she didn’t like, to which, she, after initial hesitation, responded “Bitter gourd”.
The little girl further asked PM Modi for his permission to recite a poem in his praise, to which, he asked, “Kavi ho kya (Are you a poet)?”
The little girl responded promptly and recited the poem hailing the Prime Minister who listened intently and praised the kid before moving forward.
Prime Minister’s Instagram handle posted a video of his brief interaction with the little girl with the caption, “My friend in Varanasi knows he science and is also a great poet.”
PM Modi received a rousing welcome upon arrival in Varanasi, where he was greeted by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. People gathered on both sides of the road to greet the prime minister with floral showers.
Earlier in the day, during the roadshow in Kashi, PM Modi stopped his convoy to give way to an ambulance.
