Ivorian International Gervinho Signs for Greek Side Aris

Ivory Coast international forward Gervinho has signed a two-year contract with Aris Thessaloniki, the Greek Super League club announced on Saturday.

“It’s a new page in my career,” said the 35-year-old.

Gervinho’s previous clubs include Le Mans, Lille, Arsenal, Roma and Parma while he has 88 caps for the Ivory Coast, scoring 23 goals.

He played 46 times for Premier League club Arsenal between 2011 and 2013 and netted 9 times. His time at Roma and Parma saw him play 71 games and 88 games for the Italian outfits respectively. But, the most prolific phase of his career came during his time in Lille, where he played between 2009 and 2011m appearing in 67 games and scoring 28 goals.

Last season, he played for Trabzonspor and celebrated winning the Turkish championship. He appeared in nine games for the Turkish Champions, scoring on two occasions.
