IT Dept, CBI, ED are all ‘BJP cells’, alleges Akhilesh | Kanpur News – Times of India

Kanpur: Referring to the recent Income Tax (IT) searchers on some of his associates, Samajwadi Party (SP) national president and former chief minister Akhilesh Yadav on Tuesday termed the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), IT department and the Enforcement Directorate (ED) as “cells of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)”.
Slamming chief minister Yogi Adityanath and the BJP for the searches, Akhilesh said, “SP has taken everyone along and will form the next government in the state. Now, even Chacha’ (uncle Shivpal Yadav) party has been taken along. And, as soon as his party was taken along, BJP cells — ED, CBI and IT department — in Delhi became active and started investigations. As UP election gets closer and closer, the fear of defeat haunts them. But, we Samajwadi’s (Socialists) are not going to be afraid, we are going to compete with them,” said Akhilesh while addressing a rally during the Samajwadi Vijay Rath Yatra in Mainpuri.
“After the formation of the SP government in UP, caste census will be conducted within three months and people will be given rights and respect according to their population,” said Akhilesh.
The SP president said that Uttar Pradesh does not want a Yogi, but a ‘yogya’ (able) government. “In Lakhimpur Kheri, bulldozers should be run at the houses of the killers of farmers, but the government’s bulldozers will not work there as BJP government is a protector of criminals. In Lakhimpur Kheri, farmers were killed after being mowed by a jeep. The son of Union minister of state for home is involved in the murder and the minister himself is involved in the conspiracy. But BJP is not removing him. Farmers cannot get justice under the BJP government,” he said.
Akhilesh said that if the SP government is formed, roads will be built. Power generation units will be set up. Farmers will get free irrigation. The poor will get free medicines. Farmers will get the right price for their crops. Fertilizers and seeds will be available on time. “BJP, however, has put them in line for fertilizer today. This time the BJP government has to be removed by those who are in lines, he said.
He said that the BJP is holding ‘government rallies’. “Government employees are forcibly brought to BJP rallies. But in SP rallies, people come if they want to. Seeing the Samajwadi Vikas Rath Yatra, the BJP is terrified,” he said. The SP president accused the BJP government of increasing the prices of petrol and diesel to give profits to some of its special companies and said that the ruling party is busy filling the coffers of the rich by cutting the pockets of the poor.
The picture of Akhilesh’s uncle Shivpal Yadav was also seen in the main banner of the rally organized in SP stronghold Mainpuri. Along with the SP, Shivpal’s Progressive Samajwadi Party (Lohia) workers were also present in large numbers at the rally.
