Khader Adnan, a senior Palestinian Islamic Jihad official in the West Bank, died in Israeli prison early Tuesday morning after 86 days of hunger strike, according to Hebrew media.
He was found unconscious in his cell. He had refused to receive medical treatment.
Adnan was charged with membership in a terror organization and incitement.
