iQoo 9 series to come with a 50MP Samsung GN5 camera and a 150-degree ultra wide-angle lens – Times of India

Chinese smartphone giant Vivo’s sub-brand iQoo has announced that the iQoo 9 series will be launched on January 5. The phones in this lineup will have a Samsung 50MP ISOCELL GN5 sensor main camera while the secondary camera will have a 150-degree ultra wide-angle lens, reports GSMArena
The report adds that the company has claimed the iQoo 9 series to be the world’s first smartphone to come with the 50MP GN5 sensor and a poster shared by the company also reveals that it will be a 7P lens with Gimbal Stabilisation. Although, it seems like the Pro model might be the only one to have the 150-degree ultra wide-angle camera.
The report also adds that iQoo has also announced that the 120W GaN charger that will come with the iQoo 9 Pro will be smaller compared to earlier adapters and will weigh just 35 grams.
Earlier, iQoo also revealed that the iQoo 9 series will pack a 4700mAh battery but it didn’t explain whether both the regular and Pro models will both pack cells of this size or it will just be exclusive for the Pro model.
iQoo has already confirmed that the iQoo 9 series will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor and will also support 50W wireless charging and feature a three-dimensional VC heat dissipation system. These phones are also expected to sport a 2K 120Hz E5 AMOLED screen of LTPO 2.0 type with 517 ppi pixel density, 1,500 nits peak brightness and 1,000Hz touch sampling rate.
