iPhone 15 Pro And iPhone 15 Pro Max Launched With Titanium Chassis, A17 Pro Chip

The top-of-the-line iPhone 15 Pro models have been officially unveiled at Apple’s “Wonderlust” event and they have been made with titanium, as suggested by various leaks and rumours. The titanium used in manufacturing the iPhone 15 Pro is grade 5 titanium chassis, which is the same material used on NASA’s Mars rover. The iPhone 15 Pro is the lightest Pro model ever, says Apple. The Pro models got Dynamic Island last year and the iPhone 15 Pro models will see the Dynamic Island react to the use of the new Action Button. The iPhone 15 Pro comes with ProMotion, Extreme Dynamic Range and Always-On Display.

Apple has done away with its iconic “mute button” in favour of a new “Action button” that can be customised to perform tasks such as quickly accessing the camera, or starting a voice recording. The iPhone 15 Pro has been launched with a 6.1-inch display but the Pro Max model has a much bigger 6.7-inch display. According to Misha Scepanovic, the director of optical engineering, the iPhone 15 Pro comes with an advanced 48MP main camera. The camera comes with a new coating to reduce lens flare.

The iPhone 15 Pro models come with the A17 Pro chip which Apple says has a “breakthrough new GPU”. It is the first 3-nanometer (nm) chip.
