iPhone 14 Pro Out Of Stock Due To Huge Demand, MoS IT Speaks To Apple On Supply Shortage In Ind

Owing to a huge demand for the newly launched iPhone 14 Pro, Apple’s authorised retail stores are reported to be running out of stock for the iPhone model. Rajeev Chandrasekhar, Minister of State For Electronics and IT has said he has spoken to iPhone maker Apple about the situation and that there has been a surge in demand for the iPhone 14 Pro. He also said that Apple is working on the supply chain constraints.

“I have spoken with Apple and they have said while iPhone14 demand is being met also with India production, the iPhone14 pro demand has surged and is facing supply constraints which they are addressing,” Chandrasekhar tweeted.

The MoS IT also mentioned that private sales of the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro models are probably “alternate” supply channels.

The starting price of the iPhone 14 Pro has been set at Rs 1,29,900 onwards. The iPhone 14 Pro comes with a 6.1-inch display and it is powered by the new A16 Bionic chipset. A key highlight of the smartphone is “Dynamic Island” which is a new design that adapts in real-time to show important alerts, notifications, and activities and it is also present in the bigger iPhone 14 Pro Max.

The iPhone 14 Pro comes with a 48MP main camera and for selfies, there’s a 12MP TrueDepth camera.

Meanwhile, the iPhone 14 Plus, which Apple launched this year instead of a mini model has seen low demand.

Apple has decided to cut down on the production of the iPhone 14 Plus due to the low demand for the model. Earlier last week, the iPhone maker asked at least one Apple supplier to immediately halt production of the iPhone 14 and has also contacted two component suppliers to lower production of the iPhone 14 by up to 90 per cent.
