Indian cricket team’s fast bowler Joginder Sharma has announced his retirement from all formats of cricket. He has said goodbye to cricket by tweeting. All-rounder Joginder Sharma played an important role in Team India’s victory in the final of the 2007 T20 World Cup.

Batting first in the final match, the Indian team scored 157 runs at the loss of 5 wickets. In a thrilling match, Joginder Sharma took Pakistan’s last wicket in the last over and put the World Cup in India’s bag. Here the Pakistani team was reduced to 152 runs in 19.3 overs.

Joginder Sharma posted on social media and informed everyone about his retirement. He wrote in his post that the years 2002 to 2017 have been the most special years of my life. Where I got a chance to represent the Indian team.

I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude to BBCI, Haryana, Chennai Super Kings and Haryana Government. Sharma further wrote that I would also like to thank my teammates, support staff and fans, who have consistently supported me through the ups and downs of my career. Now I will try to contribute on other alternatives of cricket.
