Kashmir’s separatist leader Yasin Malik has been sentenced to life imprisonment by the NIA court in the terror funding case. Now the Independent Permanent Human Rights Commission (OIC-IPHRC) of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation has commented condemning this decision, which India has called unacceptable.

Foreign Ministry spokesman Arindam Bagchi said that the world will not tolerate terrorism at all. The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) does not justify it (terror) under any circumstances.

India calls OIC statement backed by terror
Bagchi said- India will not accept the comments of OIC-IPHRC condemning India for the verdict in Yasin Malik’s case. Through these comments, the OIC-IPHRC has supported Malik’s terrorist activities by making such a statement. The charges against Malik have been proved in the court and only after that he was sentenced. He said- the world wants zero tolerance against terrorism.

Arindam Bagchi said that through these comments OIC-IPHRC has extended its support to the terrorist activities of Yasin Malik, in respect of which evidence was given in the court.

What did the OIC say?
OIC criticized Malik’s sentence, saying – Malik has been imprisoned in inhuman conditions, which shows the persecution of Muslims living in Kashmir. The OIC described Malik’s sentence as a mockery of the Indian judicial system. Punishment of Yasin Malik is wrong.
