The Railway Recruitment Cell (RRC) has issued a notification for apprenticeship positions in Gorakhpur, North Eastern Railway.
In a recent notification, North Eastern Zone of Indian Railways has announced that they are offering attractive apprenticeship job opportunities. The Railway Recruitment Cell (RRC) has issued a notification for apprenticeship positions in Gorakhpur, North Eastern Railway, with a total of 1,104 vacancies. This apprenticeship recruitment will be conducted under the Apprenticeship Act 1961 and the Apprenticeship Rules 1962. The online applications commenced from November 25, 2023. Interested candidates can apply before the last date, that is, December 24, 2023.
According to the notification, apprenticeship positions will be available in Mechanical Workshop Gorakhpur, Signal Workshop Gorakhpur Cantt, Bridge Workshop Gorakhpur Cantt, Mechanical Workshop Izzatnagar, Diesel Shed Izzatnagar, Carriage and Wagon Izzatnagar, Carriage and Wagon Lucknow, Diesel Shed Gonda, and Carriage and Wagon Varanasi.
Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must have a minimum of 50% marks and should be 10th pass. In addition, they must have an ITI certificate in the relevant trade. Regarding the age limit, candidates should be at least 15 years old and not more than 24 years old. SC and ST candidates will receive a five-year age relaxation, and OBC candidates will receive a three-year relaxation. Physically handicapped candidates will receive a maximum age relaxation of 10 years.
Application Fee
For apprenticeship recruitment in the railway, the application fee is Rs 100. However, SC, ST, EWS, disabled, and female candidates are exempt from the application fee.

To apply for the apprenticeship, candidates need to visit the North Eastern Railway official website at www.ner.indianrailways.gov.in. The deadline for the North Easter Zone of Indian Railways apprenticeship application is December 24, 2023 at 5:00 pm.
RRC Apprenticeship Selection Process
The selection for the apprenticeship will be based on the merit formed by combining the marks of the Class 10 board exam and ITI. Both the results will have equal weightage in the selection process.
