Indian Navy Invites Applications To Fill Sailor Posts Under Sports Quota – News18

The last date to apply for Navy Sailor Recruitment is July 20.

Indian Navy is inviting applications for the post of sailor from unmarried male and female candidates under the sports quota. Applicant players must have participated in the International/Junior or Senior National Championship/Senior State Championship to become eligible for the post.

Apart from this, to ensure a direct entry the applicant should be a medalist in the Khelo India Games & Youth Games or any national or state-level event. The last date to apply for Navy Sailor Recruitment is July 20. For residents of North East, Jammu and Kashmir, Andaman and Nicobar, Lakshadweep and Minicoy Island is July 25. The applicant must have passed Class 12 exams from any stream or equivalent examination to become eligible for the post.

For Navy Sailor recruitment, the age of the candidates should be between 17 and a half to 25 years. After being recruited as a sailor in the Navy, a stipend of Rs 14,600 per month will be given during training. After the training, the Petty Officer will be provided a salary of Pay Level 5 and the Chief Petty Officer will get Pay Level 6.

In addition, they will be paid Military Service Pay of Rs 5,200. The winner of any medal in the World Championship or Asian Games, CWG, and World Cup is eligible for direct entry to the post of Chief Petty Officer. Apart from this, the candidate who has represented India twice in the Asian Games/Commonwealth/World Cup or has represented India in the Olympics is eligible for direct entry in the final selections of Chief Petty Officer.

To get recruited as a sailor in the Navy under sports quota, one has to undergo these sports trials. After this, one has to pass a medical test as well. Applications for this Navy recruitment have to be done in offline mode. The initial engagement is subjected to the successful completion of training. The initial engagement is for 15 years. The probation will be of three years.

The candidates have to send the application to the Indian Navy Sports Control Board, 7th Floor, Chanakya Bhawan Naval Headquarters, Ministry of Defence, New Delhi. The application will be accepted for offline mode only.
