The Indian Army has also prepared infrastructure to house 450 tanks and more than 22,000 soldiers amid reports of infrastructure preparation by China near the Line of Actual Control (LAC).

According to defense sources, the Engineering Corps of the Indian Army has deployed new landing craft in eastern Ladakh to respond to China’s aggressive movement near Pangong So Lake. This will increase the patrolling capabilities of the Indian Army. Along with this, there has also been an increase in troops and equipment. This assault craft can carry 35 soldiers at a time.

Storage infrastructure prepared in two years
Sources said that in the last two years, assets of 22,000 soldiers and storage for 450 assault vehicles/guns have been created. With the completion of the existing projects, the focus is now on creating such a stable infrastructure in this season so that our army can be ready to defend itself at all times.

These devices were successful in trial test of different weapons
Regarding these permanent defense infrastructure, Indian Army’s Engineer-in-Chief Lt. General Harpal Singh said, ‘Indian Army’s Corps of Engineers has built Permanent Defenses with 3D print for the first time in the desert. These defenses have been trial tested from small arms to the biggest gun of the T90 tank.

He further informed that all these defense equipments have withstood the blast. These can be made in 36 to 48 hours and can be easily transported from one place to another. Along with this, similar permanent defense equipment has been trialed in Eastern Ladakh, which has been successful.

Border Road Organization is building tunnels along the China border
Defense sources told about the infrastructure development being done by the Border Road Organization (BRO) along the China border, at present we have 9 tunnels. One of these is the 2.535 km long Sela tunnel, which when completed will be the world’s highest two-lane tunnel. We have plans to build 11 more tunnels.

Sources said that BRO has been given the responsibility of making Nyoma one of the highest airfields in India. It is very close to the China border and will increase Indian capabilities here.
