The Department of Post (India Post) will close the registration for the recruitment of the Gramin Dak Sevak (GDS) 2024 today, August 5, 2024. Candidates who have not yet submitted their applications for the India Post Office GDS Recruitment 2024 can do so through the official website, indiapostadsonline.gov.in. The correction window for the GDS recruitment 2024 application will be from August 6 to 8, 2024.
This year, this hiring campaign aims to fill 44228 Gramin Dak Sevak positions in 23 circles in the country. The positions are spread over several states including 2,718 in Rajasthan, 2,558 in Bihar, 4,588 in Uttar Pradesh, 1,338 in Chhattisgarh, and 4,011 in Madhya Pradesh. Candidates will be chosen as per the merit list that will be created taking into consideration their class 10 grades.
India Post GDS 2024: Eligibility Criteria
Education Qualification: A secondary school examination pass certificate from the tenth grade, obtained through the successful completion of mathematics and English courses (either required or elective), administered by any Board of School Education recognised by the Indian government, state governments, or union territories, is required for enrolment in all GDS programs that have been approved. It is necessary to have basic computer, cycling, and financial literacy.
Age Limit: Until August 5, those between the ages of 18 to 40 may submit their GDS application forms. There is age relaxation for reserved category candidates.
India Post GDS 2024: How to Apply?
Step 1. Visit the official India Post website at indiapostgdsonline in.
Step 2. Click the “Registration” tab from the homepage.
Step 3. To sign up, provide your email address and basic information.
Step 4. A unique password and registration number will be given.
Step 5. Visit the homepage once more, and select the “Apply Online” link.
Step 6. Choose your desired postal circle and input your registration number.
Step 7. Fill out the application form with the necessary information.
Step 8. Upload the required files, and pay the relevant fees.
Step 9. For your records, save a copy of the registration Form.
India Post GDS 2024: Application Fee
Applicants must pay a fee of Rs 100 for each of the vacancies announced in their preferred division. All female candidates, SC, ST applicants, PwD applicants, and transwomen applicants, however, are exempted from paying the application cost.
