Sri Lanka have been in sparkling form recently, earning an undefeated ODI run of 13 matches before losing to India. It will now be interesting to see if they can lift the trophy for a record-equalling seventh time.
During the Super 4 game between India and Sri Lanka, the Men in Blue were kept to 213 runs. Rohit Sharma helped India to get a good start as he scored a half-century in the game. KL Rahul and Ishan Kishan also contributed with 39 and 33 runs respectively. Sri Lanka’s Dunith Wellalage and Charith Asalanka combined for nine wickets in the match.
During Sri Lanka’s run chase, Kuldeep Yadav came up with a phenomenal performance as he scalped four wickets. Jasprit Bumrah and Ravindra Jadeja bagged two wickets each, helping India claim a comfortable 41-run victory.
