If Jaiswal achieves this milestone, he will surpass Ajinkya Rahane’s record of 1159 runs in the 2019-21 WTC cycle, becoming the Indian batter with the most runs in a single WTC cycle.

Yashasvi Jaiswal One Half-Century Away From Massive Record

After hitting a fifty in the first innings against Bangladesh, Yashasvi Jaiswal has recorded eight 50+ scores in WTC 2023-25 cycle. If he scores another fifty in the second innings, he will reach nine 50+ scores, equaling the record held by Ajinkya Rahane and Cheteshwar Pujara for the most 50+ scores by an Indian batter in a single WTC cycle. Both Rahane and Pujara had nine 50+ scores in the 2019-21 WTC cycle.

Ashwin-Jadeja put India in solid position
