How could rioters, kidnappers be your wellwisher, CM asks people | Varanasi News – Times of India

CM Yogi addressing a gathering in Maharajganj, on Thursday

Gorakhpur: Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath attacked state’s previous governments in Maharajganj on Thursday, asking people “how could those who encroach upon the land of poor, kidnap businessmen, hug rioters and play with the future of youth could be your wellwisher?” He also inaugurated/laid foundation of 77 development projects of Rs 437-crore for the Maharajganj district and announced that a medical college will be built in the district on PPP model.
Speaking at Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) Jan Vishwas Yatra, the CM vividly described the difference between the Samajwadi Party (SP) and the BSP. “When we take action against the mafia, SP-BSP feels the pain most and at present Mafia and rioters do not dare to do anything due to fear of action and no one can spread anarchy in the state and promote riot here,” he said.
He added, “Before 2014, the environment of the country was full of corruption, anarchy, disbelief, terrorism and extremism. Before 2017, people in power used to gulp the money of the poor and money was being taken out from walls with JCB machines. The governments then didn’t care for infrastructure. They didn’t even work to control encephalitis and thousands of children died year after year due to the disease.”
The CM claimed that BJP fulfilled the promises made to the people and mentioned the abrogation of Article 370 and construction of Ram temple at Ayodhya. “Those who opened fire at Ram Bhakts would have never constructed Ram temple,” he said.
Highlighting his government’s achievement on the law and order front, he said, “BJP respects faith and runs bulldozers on mafia groups. The previous governments spent money on ‘kabristans’ while my government is spending on beautification of places of deities.”
